Stephanie Van Loon was born and raised in Fresno California. She moved to Hawaii in 1996 where she worked in a number of restaurants as a server. She decided she wanted to make her cooking hobby a profession. She moved to San Francisco to attend the world renowned California Culinary Academy. She received her baking and pastry arts certificate and graduated with a 4.20 gpa. Upon graduation, Stephanie worked with wedding cake designer Susan Morgan of Elegant Cheesecakes in Half Moon Bay California. This experience really honed in on her attention to detail and love to create amazing edible art. Stephanie moved back to Honolulu to work with the ever so talented Alan Wong, where she then decided it was time to open her own company. In 2005 Love at First Bite was born.
In addition to her gorgeous specialty cakes, Stephanie has created a lovely local
catering delivery service. Using fresh local ingredients, and organic when available. She delivers healthy lunches to your office, your business meetings, and caters your dinner parties. Custom menus are always welcome.
